Uniworld and U by Uniworld’s (referred to hereafter as Uniworld) Gold Seal Protection (GSP) plan costs only R 1 450 per person.
Your Uniworld GSP plan is available only upon paying your deposit and cannot be added later. GSP gives you additional peace of mind should your travel plans change and includes:

Uniworld will provide you 100% of the Uniworld cancellation penalties in the form of a future cruise credit certificate, should you cancel your cruise/tour before your original scheduled flight departure date from South Africa.
If cancelled outside of the cancellation period (120 days prior to departure), you will be refunded less R 3 000 and the Gold Seal Protection Policy amount of R 1 450 per person.
The R 3 000 will remain as a Future Cruise Credit. Please note that the Gold Seal Protection plan cost of R 1 450 is not refundable for any reason. Travel Agent fees and cancellation costs may apply.
A Future Cruise Credit Certificate is issued in the event of cancellation. It is valid for travel within two years from the date of issue, is non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be redeemed for cash.
The Gold Seal Protection Plan does not cover airline travel costs and any related cancellation or rebooking costs before departing South Africa. We recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance covering the value of your airfares should you cancel your trip. We are happy to help you with arranging travel insurance.
Note: bookings on Cruise & Rail itineraries, Peru itineraries, and the “Rivers of the World” itinerary are not eligible for Uniworld's Gold Seal Protection Program.
